The questions we hear the most.

Every body responds differently. Most clients start noticing improvements within the first two to three visits. Typically less pain, better range of motion, and the feeling that life gets a bit easier. Some people get a little sore after the first Reset as the body starts to adapt. That is normal.

We will never tell you that chiropractic is a one-visit fix. At your report of findings appointment, after we have assessed your spine, nervous system, history, and goals, we will give you a clear picture of the roadmap. We track progress at regular progress exams. If you are not making satisfactory improvements, we do not continue unnecessary care. We are not in the business of wasting your time or money.

It depends on your body, health history, age, history of physical trauma, lifestyle, training demand, diet, inflammation, and any other conditions in play. After your initial consult, your chiropractor will present a personalised care plan at the report of findings, with a recommended schedule and a couple of options to choose from.

Nobody is locked into anything. Whether you are here to address something short-term or work through a longer-standing issue, the plan reflects that. What we will not pretend is that one magic adjustment fixes years of poor habits and structural issues. If the underlying causes are not managed, things go back to where they were.

Chiropractic is recognised by most private health funds. We require upfront payment on the day of your initial consult. We do not have HICAPS on-site, but we will give you a receipt to submit directly to your fund. It is a simple process, and our team will walk you through it.

We recommend checking your individual policy beforehand so you know what you are entitled to. Cover varies between funds and levels.

We hear this a lot. There are many different styles and levels of competency across practitioners. It is hard to lump it all under one umbrella. Many of our clients come to us after trying plenty of other care, and tell us what we do is different.

The difference at Gorilla is the approach. We are not chasing symptoms for temporary relief. Our care is built around assessing and improving the function of your spine and nervous system. We look at the full picture, not just what is bothering you right now. The other key difference is execution. A structured care plan rather than sporadic visits, delivered consistently by chiropractors we train and upskill on an ongoing basis.

We will be upfront with you on day one about where we can help, and what the best path forward looks like.

This is one of the biggest misconceptions about chiropractic, and one we love clearing up. Most people walk through the door because something is bothering them, but that is rarely where the conversation ends.

Chiropractic care at Gorilla focuses on the function and movement of your spine, musculoskeletal system, and nervous system. When your body moves well and your brain-body connection is free of interference, you get the full expression of your ability to function, and that flows into your overall health and performance.

We are always honest about what chiropractic can and cannot realistically offer. Everyone has a different ceiling based on the condition of their spine, their lifestyle, and the investment they are prepared to make. We are here for people who want to take an active role in their long-term health. Not passengers.

The wire strap adjustment is famous on TikTok and YouTube. It is not part of our standard process at Gorilla. Our chiropractors are well-versed in many techniques beyond the generic manual adjustment, but the wire strap is not one we routinely perform.

There is a misconception online that it is a magic fix that corrects everything. It is not. Some people do get short-term relief from it, but the risk-to-reward profile does not justify making it a standard part of care. If you are looking for a chiro that leans heavily on the wire strap, we are probably not the right fit. And we would rather tell you that upfront.

Still got a question.
